Our Future

 

My fellow animals and men, today is the start of a new era. Today we surpass all our prior restrictions as our equality to mankind is recognized. We have always hated Man, why? Simple, they were stronger than us, they had the power to hurt us, and they did. No longer! We have met with Farmer Pilkington and it is known that the general farming community now sees us as equals and independent in our own right. We finally overcame those primordial chains that tied us down all these years. We pigs have learned to walk on two legs, and as masters of Animal Farm, that is how things should be. President Napoleon now also wields a whip, signifying the power that we have gained from the days of Old Major, which are now long gone. Four legs good, two legs BETTER! I have also noticed that many animals have been visiting the barn lately. As a friendly reminder, I will state what is written there: All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.
